The unsaturated fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6 are contained in large quantities and in an ideal ratio of 3 to 1. These are of immanent importance for the transport of oxygen, for the formation of the cell membrane, for the hormonal balance and the metabolism. It also contains chlorophyll, which is needed for cell renewal, and beta-carotene, which is important for the immune system. The vitamin and mineral content rounds off the health-promoting effect.
